Biography

From the bedside to the boardroom to the build

Dr. Shiv Jha is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Board-Certified Geriatric Psychiatrist with a career built across academic medicine, hospital leadership, managed care, and global CRO medical monitoring. He trained at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University, and has held teaching appointments at Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University.

His research background includes functional neuroimaging — analyzing fMRI, PET, and SPECT data during a fellowship at McLean Hospital — alongside earlier postdoctoral work in psychopharmacology and molecular genetics at Boston University. He has served as a Medical Monitor and Sr. Medical Director for CNS and psychiatry trials spanning Phase I through Phase IV, at organizations including Syneos Health and Premier Research.

Beyond the CRO world, Dr. Jha has held direct clinical leadership roles — Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Carney Hospital, Chief of Psychiatry for the Geriatric Medical Psychiatry Unit at Clinton Hospital/UMass, and Medical Director of Behavioral Health across five state Blue Cross Blue Shield markets.

That combination — years spent inside eligibility review meetings, protocol design sessions, and utilization management committees — is what led him to found NeuriQiz in January 2026, where he now serves as Founder & CEO, building EligOS™, the eligibility operating system CNS trials have been missing.

NeuriQiz and EligOS™ exist because eligibility review in CNS trials has run the same way for decades — and it doesn't have to. If you're a CRO, biotech, or SMO running CNS studies, let's talk.
